Some interesting facts about the two top leading figures of Dubai’s iconic restaurant:
Shane Mac Neill has been working in top restaurants and Michelin stars since 1997 and holds a degree in hospitality management from Worcester College of technology.
The first high-end restaurant he worked at was the Nobu Group, where he discovered his passion for Asian cuisine.

Shane completed the opening of SHANGHAI ME restaurant in Dubai in july 2019, before joining Orange Hospitality as head chef for MAYABAY Dubai, the internationally-acclaimed Japanese-Thai restaurant originating in Monaco.

MayaBay Dubai’s interiors offer an instant escape to Asia with chic decor, oak-trimmed wall panels, and vibrant red tables finished with fine textiles.
