Billionaire Vodka: the Billionaire Drink by 3.7 Million Dollars

Recently appeared on the market has immediately set foot in the world of luxury, especially for lovers of fine spirits, a bottle containing the most expensive vodka in the world, or five litres of pure Russian vodka. In Russia vodka represents much more than just a simple drink, it is a real tradition (even better known than the adorable matryoshkas or the rare Russian ballets that liven up the festivities) to improve the techniques of processing this alcohol over time.

Vodka has always been present on Russian tables for centuries now, and just to respect its “fame” it is right to indicate that there are strict rules in etiquette, reserved exclusively for this alcoholic beverage. Starting from the toast in the company to the sharing of the same, even if only to mark the rhythm of the meal. Unlike wines or other alcoholic drinks, Russian Vodka claims not to be drunk in small sips but all in one sip, while the drink is still very cold, as it should be served. In this case, therefore, do not look at the rarity or cost of this vodka, if you want to drink it you should do so in the right way.

The real peculiarity of this bottle is not its content, which could never justify its high price, but the bottle itself, a wonder for the eyes. The bottle is decorated on the outside with ten diamond rings, detached from each other by a soft fake fur, to complete the decoration. This particular choice to use a fake fur comes from the fact that its designer, the famous Leos Verres, is a member of a famous association that fights for animal rights, so he would never have allowed himself, for moral reasons, to use real fur on the body of the bottle. In the end, the Capsule, generally made of tinfoil or wax, is intended to be torn off to uncork the bottle, in this case, it acts as a cork itself taking up the same style of the bottle, i.e. a fake fur cover and the rest filled with diamonds, bringing their total number to 3000. Not caring about expenses, it was, therefore, possible to complete the decoration of this prestigious bottle with a final value…of 3.7 million dollars, from which it was decided to dedicate the name “Billionaire Vodka” to it.

This bottle, however, is not the only one of Verres’ most recent works, but also one of his “minor twins”, a half-litre bottle of the same Vodka, however, characterised by a captivating dark purple colour, very close to indigo which hides its precious distillate instead of transparent. What allows her to be at the side of her older sister is the name of the bottle (Billionaire Vodka) studded with Swarovski, a technique used to make diamonds with purple backgrounds stand out even more.

In conclusion, we can wish the lucky ones who will have the chance to own these precious bottles a dear “Za zdaróvje” hoping for an excellent evening.
