Sayonara Kenzo-San, bokutachi no スタイリスト
A life spent making a difference, the influence of a fashion made up of great personalities, known worldwide that have created a myth in this luxurious world. Kenzo has always made its weight felt worldwide with its significant and important impact on what is fashion on the planet as a whole.

He has exerted a strong influence on other designers who have approached this world if we want to be limited, where only the great ones arrive. Our knowledge of his self is certainly limited but his work that has paraded on the most important catwalks of haute couture has left a historical memory to every single individual who has appreciated his style, an individual and personal influence that has proportioned his merit among those who have had the honour of collaborating with him.

This phenomenon has had innumerable results in his figures, in his clothes full of colours reminiscent of his oriental origins, in his creations of youthful clothes suitable for everyday life but without ever giving up that fashion touch that girls can’t do without. We are talking about a great talent who has had the opportunity to exert his influence in fashion, much loved by women with his tiger symbol present on the wonderful sweatshirts worn by many young people in the everyday life of big cities.

Born on 27th February 1939 in Himeji, he was the first designer of the Rising Sun, moved to Paris in 1964 where six years later he created his own fashion company in 1970, thanks to the fame he received from his first fashion show, still famous Vivienne Gallery. Passionate about the creation of clothes that could vaguely recall the world of circus and cinema Takada has created men’s and women’s collections that could bring out his personality, almost the formula of his conception of life linked to his ideas derived from ancient thoughts, thanks to his education but linked to an organic and new thought that is distinct and structured in his creations.

Her collections of men’s and women’s clothes also brought with them accessories and perfumes that enhanced her extraordinarily original lines and loved by the influencers who have spoken extensively about her and helped to spread her style, made of volumes, artfully crafted with a fit capable of adapting to a variety of physicality, in this not only beautiful to look at but also comfortable to wear. It was only in 1999 that he decided to leave the catwalks and his much-loved fashion house, returning in 2002 to the world of luxury with a line of furnishing accessories and furniture, and he continued along this path. His phrase is very significant: “I am pleased that they say that I have influenced people, but I am influenced by them. The world I live in is my influence”. Lived among his bright colours, his animalier his deep love for fashion that led him to leave Japan at the age of 20 to chase his dream.

Today a beacon has died out, one of those that illuminated the catwalk of the fashion world. What is now the biggest social problem has deprived us of a great man, a great designer, a great entrepreneur, so Takada died at the age of 81 at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He believed deeply in his dream and made it come to life in his wonderful creations, leaving us with a living memory that fashion manages to keep defenceless over time, the designer’s thoughts and his creativity.
