Italy Celebrates its 79th Republic Day in Monaco: A Tribute to Italian Culture and Neapolitan Heritage

 

The Embassy of Italy in the Principality of Monaco proudly celebrated the 79th Anniversary of the Italian Republic with a prestigious reception hosted by H.E. Ambassador Manuela Ruosi at the iconic Yacht Club de Monaco.

The event, held in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, brought together distinguished guests from both the Monegasque and Italian communities, including high-ranking local and Italian authorities.

This year’s celebration was imbued with a distinct Neapolitan flair — a tribute to the Ambassador’s hometown of Naples, which in 2025 marks 2,500 years of history. The theme of the evening highlighted Italy’s rich cultural heritage and the enduring bonds between Italy and Monaco.

Guests were treated to an authentic culinary journey through the flavors of Naples, with traditional dishes specially prepared to reflect the vibrant soul of southern Italy. From classic Neapolitan street food to refined regional specialties, the reception offered a unique taste of Italian excellence and hospitality.

The Ambassador expressed her gratitude to all those in attendance and reaffirmed Italy’s deep connection with the Principality. “It is an honor to celebrate our Republic and share the spirit of Italy with our friends in Monaco. This year, through Naples, we also celebrate a cradle of Mediterranean culture that continues to inspire the world,” said Ambassador Ruosi.

The evening concluded with a strong sense of unity, elegance, and joy — hallmarks of the Italian identity — leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
