The Offroad Spirit: From the sea to the streets of Monaco
Monaco has always been a land of challenges and elegance, a place where sport, innovation, and lifestyle converge. On September 15, this spirit came alive when Massimiliano Mordenti, Italian entrepreneur and official pilot of the Fédération Monégasque Motonautique, set off from the Yacht Club de Monaco for a record-breaking challenge.
His mission: to reach Gallinara Island and back on a jet ski powered entirely by bioethanol.
Accompanied by his wife Erminia, co-founder of the Offroad Club Monaco (OCM), Massimiliano Mordenti braved unpredictable seas for nearly three hours, successfully completing the course. Pending official confirmation by the UIM, this feat represents not only a world record but also a statement – proving that performance and responsibility can travel together on the same wake. Supported by the Prince Albert II Foundation, the Yacht Club de Monaco, and under the patronage of the Italian Embassy, the attempt symbolised Monaco’s pioneering role in sustainable innovation at sea.
The Offroad way of life finds its home
But Offroad Club Monaco is more than a sporting adventure — it is a lifestyle, now anchored in the very heart of the Principality. In June 2025, OCM opened its first official boutique at 29 rue Comte Félix Gastaldi, discreetly nestled near the Prince’s Palace.
