Elegance with Purpose: Princess Charlene Leads Monaco’s Rokethon for Animal Welfare

Beneath the iconic Chapiteau de Fontvieille, Princess Charlene of Monaco brought her signature poise and understated grace to the second edition of the Rokethon — a heartfelt initiative dedicated to the fight against animal abandonment. The afternoon was one of shared compassion, effortless style, and an unmistakable spirit of community.

A Walk of Compassion

On a sunlit Sunday, the Princess joined fellow animal lovers for a cause close to her heart. As President of the Monaco Société Protectrice des Animaux (SPA), her presence at this increasingly cherished event was both symbolic and deeply personal.

With her ever-loyal chihuahua, Harley, nestled in her arms, the Princess joined participants for the one-kilometre circuit around the Chapiteau. — a simple yet meaningful gesture in support of animals in need.

Dressed in casual perfection — slim jeans paired with a camel Max Mara parka — Princess Charlene embodied the elegance of quiet confidence. Her natural ease among attendees reflected the empathy that defines her humanitarian work. Alongside her brother, Gareth Wittstock, Secretary General of her Foundation, and the President of Rokethon Sylvia Sermenghi  … she greeted families, volunteers, and rescue animals with genuine warmth, reinforcing her role not just as Monaco’s Princess, but as one of its most compassionate advocates.

Fashion, Philanthropy, and Four-Legged Friends

As the afternoon unfolded, the spirit of solidarity transformed into a celebration of style with purpose. Under the creative direction of Mrs  Véronique Alexandre, owner of Yours Monaco Boutique, the Chapiteau was reimagined as a runway where fashion met philanthropy. Ten of Monaco’s most inspiring women — including Daniela Boutsen, Denisa Van der Henst, Agnese Uptite, Margaux Pohosian, Antoniya Toneva, Winny Wathelet Suffys, Grace Williams, Abigail Tara-Lilly, Madlen Peneva, and Maria Bozhko — took to the stage in an uplifting fashion presentation that united glamour with giving.

Each woman radiated poise and confidence, dressed in effortlessly chic winter ensembles from Yours Monaco Boutique’s new  capsule collection. Think soft knits, neutral tones, and timeless silhouettes — the epitome of casual elegance with a Riviera twist. Yet, what made this runway truly memorable wasn’t the couture alone. Each model was accompanied by a rescue dog from the Monaco SPA and Rokethon program — gentle souls looking for their forever homes.

A Catwalk with Heart

The Chapiteau’s atmosphere was electric — a blend of fashion show sophistication and heartfelt emotion. Guests cheered as models and pups strutted down the red carpet, a delightful pairing of high style and high compassion. Every dog featured was available for adoption, a poignant reminder that love and beauty often come in the most unexpected forms.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees had the opportunity to meet the rescue animals, learn their stories, and even begin the adoption process on the spot. There were countless tender moments — a child’s smile as a puppy licked their cheek, the sparkle of recognition between a dog and a potential new family.

Monaco’s Most Stylish Act of Kindness

By merging glamour with goodwill, the Rokethon once again proved that Monaco’s heart beats as strongly as its fashion sense. For Princess Charlene, it was another example of her deep commitment to causes that matter — where empathy and elegance intertwine.

As the event drew to a close, applause filled the Chapiteau — not just for the dazzling women and their winter chic looks, but for the message they embodied: compassion is always in style.
