Andy Warhol and New Pop: The Exclusive Art & Culture Exhibition

That’s why the prestigious Foundation Mazzoleni and her President Simona Occioni have decided to organise and present the great Andy Warhol Exhibition in the beautiful frame of Forte dei Marmi, choosing one of the charming locations, Villa Bertelli.

 

 

Time is coming, everything is perfectly in line, and the inauguration has been scheduled for Friday, 28 January. Simona Occioni (Mazzoleni Foundation President), Bruno Murzi (Mayor of Forte dei Marmi) and Ermindo Tucci (Villa Bertelli President) will open the exhibition in the Winter Garden of Villa Bertelli, with the presence of Journalists, TV, Media Partners and prestigious guests.

 

 

Due to the high profile, the exhibition will receive consistent media support. Mazzoleni Foundation has selected a unique and exclusive art collection. In fact, has been chosen 100 amazing and famous artworks, most of them unique and very important, all exhibited on the first floor of Villa Bertelli. An impressive prestigious collection… will be the possibility to admire the most popular and iconic global stars such as the Marilyn, Mao, Mick Jagger, the rarest and most unobtainable Michael Jackson’s shoes and the Rolling Stones’ Guitar. 

 

 

All the artworks are the perfect sign of the unmistakable style of the great Artist. His creative language has polarised an era, involving critics and intellectual people in the famous “Pop Art taste”. An essential condition in the basement of this Art: use images from mass communication and advertising as a source of great inspiration.

 

 

Andy Warhol has created his own “Consumer Art”: transformed and reworked everyday objects into veritable icons of “Popular Art”. He gave birth to the desecrating concept of mass-produced artworks as mass consumption objects. While the Warhol phenomenon exploded, many personalities competed to portray artists such as Lou Reed, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Allen Ginsberg, Paul Morrissey, Salvador Dali, Marcel Duchamp and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Even today, thirty-five years after his death, Andy Warhol is the world’s best-known Artist and recognised as the undisputed genius and master of Pop Art.

 

 

Walking on the second floor of Villa Bertelli is possible to admire the selected and accurate collection of New Pop Artists. Visitors can complete their tour by discovering the artists who have been following the Pop Art movement since today.
